NICS Shared Service Programme is finalist in e-Government National Awards
The NICS ICT Shared Service Centre Project which Atkins helped to deliver, was announced as a finalist at the e-Government National Awards 2007 dinner at a black tie event on 22 January 2008.
Atkins has been working closely with the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to implement five new ITIL processes and procure and manage the implementation of a new Service Desk tool for a new ICT shared service centre in timescales of four months. Whilst some were convinced that this was not possible, the project was completed on time and the Shared Service Centre opened on schedule on 8 May 2007.
